Dr. Peter Vogel, Founder

Peter Vogel
Peter is both, a passionate entrepreneur and sailor. His dream has always been to combine these two driving forces by establishing an organization to foster entrepreneurship in areas where people are less privileged. By starting The Entrepreneurs' Ship® he fulfilled his dream. Dr. Stéphanie Vuillermot, Co-Founder

Dr. Stéphanie Vuillermot
Stéphanie is a neurobiologist by training. Having completed her PhD on Schizophrenia at ETH Zurich with 25 years, she ranks among the academic elite of Switzerland. For her work, she won the prestigious Empiris Award. Stéphanie is co-founder of Dementiaware and is an active teacher and trainer. She enjoys working with children and young people. Prof. Dr. Marc Gruber, Scientific Advisor

Prof. Dr. Marc Gruber
Marc is full professor at the College of Management of Technology at Ècole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland where he holds the Chair for Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization (ENTC). He has previously been at the University of St. Gallen and the Wharton School.

He has published his research on entrepreneurship in several leading journals such as Management Science, Organization Science, Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice. Three times (2008, 2009 & 2011) he was awarded the highly prestigious "Thought Leader Award" by the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management, and in June 2012 he received the “Stephan-Schrader Best Paper Award Entrepreneurship Studies” together with three colleagues.

Göran Hultin, Labor Market Advisor

Göran combines international and national experience of labor markets with private sector industry and business experience. He has more than 15 years experience in international labor market legislation and regulation.

Recently he was Assistant Director General of the ILO and Executive Director of the Employment Sector where he was globally responsible for developing employment strategies and the implementation of job creation, enterprise development and human skills development. In this capacity, he had the opportunity to work closely with labor ministries in all parts of the world.

He now works with governments and leading organizations on policy and practice by building public private partnerships to improve labor performance and business strategy, aligning business goals with corporate values, building management - labor relations, developing training strategies to meet skill and competency needs. He is advisor to the Shanghai Municipal Labor and Social Security Bureau and governmental affairs advisor to Manpower Inc.

Susanna Vogel, Design Thinking & Creativity Expert

Susanna is an expert in design end creativity management with a particular focus on Sustainable Design, Social Entrepreneurship, Service Design Thinking, Social Innovation, Enabling Solutions and the use of Design Research methods as an a human-centered approach. In her role at The Entrepreneurs' Ship she serves as a solution provider by using «Design» as a strategic tool to help our partners including scientists, policymakers, educators and established organizations in developing solutions in response to today's needs.

Fungai Alexander Mapondera, Project Leader Africa

Fungai Alexander Mapondera
Fungai Alexander is originally from Zimbabwe and completed his Bachelors and Masters studies in the United Kingdom and Switzerland respectively. Despite pursuing his career as a corporate communications professional, Fungai remains very entrepreneurially active and continues to derive synergies from the two. In 2005 he founded the Savile Image Group, a business hub for linking Europe to Southern Africa in entrepreneurial initiatives and in 2008 the Contemporary Indigenous Youth Development Africa (CIYDA), a Zimbabwean non-profit organization working with local and international stakeholders towards filling a void in youth engagement and advocacy.

Simone Arend Jensen, Startup Journalist

Simone is originally from Denmark and has lived abroad in both Switzerland and England for eight years. Having graduated from the International School of Zug & Luzern in the summer of 2012, her dream is to become a journalist. She is already working as a professional journalist to share the stories of people who are making a difference in areas of need and encouraging others to do the same.

Lucinda Tanner, Project Leader Startup Ecosystem

For Lucinda, a degree in Industrial Design marked the beginning of a richly varied career path that has crossed cultural and international borders. From Indigenous communities in northern Australia to China and Switzerland, the common threads through these work experiences have been design, communication and intercultural exchange. Connecting people, particularly across borders, is what Lucinda likes to do most. Her natural 'people skills' contribute to the successful building and maintaining of strong networks. She enjoys facilitating conversations and the exchange of ideas, particularly on the topic of how and where people live and work. Lucinda is pleased to bring her abilities on board The Entrepreneurs' Ship® to assist in achieving the goal of building brighter futures around the world by fostering entrepreneurship.


Daniel Torres, Project Leader Latin America

Daniel is originally from Colombia and has since lived and studied in the United States and Switzerland. He is the co-founder of a successful company in Colombia that has created numerous jobs for people that didn't have the chance to attend technical school but learned their skills during their early life as helpers of their father's woodshop. He is also strongly interested in sustainable energy transformation and is currently finishing his thesis in Electrical Engineering. Daniel's profile can be found on Linkedin.


Delphine Savatier, Global Market Analyst

Delphine Savatier
Delphine is originally from France, and has since lived in the United States, Singapore and Switzerland to complete her studies with a specialization in quantitative finance and economics. She envisages developing tools in microfinance and new financial products to foster entrepreneurship in developing areas. Being also a passionate sailor from her earliest age, she conquered the Northern hemisphere and managed to bring a team of seven students on the first place in the international ranking at the EDHEC Sailing Cup in 2009. Habib Lesevic, Coach

Habib Lesevic
Habib is co-founder of the systemic coaching firm Kontext in London and a member of the American Society for Cybernetics. In his work as venturer at Vic Ventures, Habib strives to holistically develop the potentials of the systems and people around him. Benedikt Foit, Coach

Benedikt Foit
As coach and co-founder of Kontext, Benedikt accompanies human beings on their way to discover and express their entrepreneurial potential, to unfold harmoniously - in tune with themselves and the biosphere.
