The Entrepreneurial Speakers Series 2011Jobzippers Entrepreneurial Speakers Series, held at the end of 2011 at 8 universities, with 635 registered participants, became the first free career event for Swiss students using livestreaming to connect the audience altogether.
Sponsored by CTI, Centralway, Mannequin Labs,Novartis Venture Fund and startups.ch, the unique event featured 17 brilliant entrepreneurs who gave speeches about their ventures and their intricate paths to success. The students who gathered at several major Swiss universities were able to have a common experience of viewing the live keynote speech of John Bird, one of the most famous social entrepreneurs in the world. Then two young entrepreneurs at each location talked about their career paths. What were their ups and downs? What does it take to become an entrepreneur? What are the most important things one should know before starting own business? These topics were profoundly explored during this very unique series of simultaneously held events, having generated an extremely positive feedback from the students and entrepreneurs in attendance. |

“The event boosted my entrepreneurial thoughts and ideas, and now I'm motivated to start working on them”, - said one of the student participants. “The format was so captivating and unique, I had to be there”, - reacted one of the attending entrepreneurs.
